(BALTIMORE – June 30, 2017) – The Bmorenews.com business networking continued on Wednesday night at Terra Cafe. There, 9 black entrepreneurs and professionals – along with folks who support them, were recognized with the coveted Joe Manns Black Wall Street Award. They included Michelle Stafford, aka the Yoga diva.
Founder of Michelle Stafford Wellness, LLC, Michelle Stafford has been teaching yoga for over 8 years, and personal training for over a decade. In 2011, she was voted by “Sun Magazine” as one of Baltimore’s Top Trainers. Michelle was also honored for her commitment to the betterment of the communities in Baltimore and throughout Maryland by “Women 2 Women 4 Women.”
She is a certified NSPA personal Trainer, Patanjali/Iyengar Therapeutic Yoga Instructor, Usui Reiki Practitioner, has a background in aquatic fitness & belly dance, and is a Trauma Informed Care Trainer through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Michelle is also the Health and Wellness Director for The Living Well Center For Social and Economic Vibrancy. Further, she works with the Be More Green program, teaching mindful eating practices and urban farming to children in West Baltimore, and serves as a consultant for Strategic Learning Partners.
She said, “My commitment is to making self-care accessible to everyone.” Stafford added, “It is through these practices that we are able to heal ourselves and break the recurring cycles of trauma within our society.”
Michelle has infused her knowledge of yoga, bellydancing, strength training, Yoni Eggs and trauma informed care into a womb centered wellness program specifically designed to empower women to heal on a cellular level.
