(BALTIMORE – January 25, 2017) – Those entrepreneurs attending the Black Wall Street ALLIANCE Meeting at Terra Cafe Bmore (St. Paul & 25th) on Thursday, January 26, 2017 (6-7:30 pm) will be in for a real treat!
We have three special guests, including one business leader who is coming all the way from Washington, D.C.: Tya Newton. In addition, other speakers include Charlie Owens, former chief of the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce and emerging business leader Terence Briggs of the newly formed cooperative economic initiative dubbed “The Good Tree.” “The Good Tree” does ‘blitzes’ on black businesses where group members are asked to spend $20 each at the ‘business of the week.’
The purpose of the Black Wall Street ALLIANCE is to better organize our support of black businesses both locally and nationally. It is a part of the ORIGINAL Black Wall Street SERIES *NYC *MD *DC ATL *NOLA featuring the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards. Founded by Bmorenews.com in 2011 in Washington, D.C., we celebrate black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race. To date, we have recognized hundreds in New York, Baltimore, D.C., Atlanta and New Orleans.
As for Tya Newton, we are extremely grateful for the presence of this outstanding woman business leader. As one of the most inspiring trailblazers for aspiring entrepreneurs, she is a dynamic personality and tremendous resource in business and professional circles for small business owners, non-profit organizations and to individuals seeking guidance. For over ten years, she has not only studied human behavior, but mastered the science of balancing life. She helps many individuals get started on their journey to success by conducting numerous interviews and collaborating with experts in the field to provide a holistic approach to entrepreneurship and healthy living.
Tya has always been business savvy, resulting in the establishment of the Styled by Success in 2016, a collaboration for female business owners who are committed to inspiring, educating and motivating others for success. In addition, she is the author of It’s Opinionated as well as founder of THEblacklist, a private small business networking club for elite professionals. Since inception, Tya has established strong partnerships with national organizations. She is a lifetime supporter of Black Wall Street and the Black Wall Street Alliance, with a commitment to serve our communities. Tya works diligently to help extraordinary people make their mark in society. Her businesses are based in Maryland, but services extend throughout the U.S. and Internationally.
Tya received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Southern Connecticut State University and is currently a candidate for a Masters in Business Management Administration. She enjoys sharing her knowledge through teaching others as well as consumers about the art of networking and doing business on a global level. Tya knows and appreciates the value of education both formally and socially. She recognizes the positive change it can cause and is a firm believer that all of us are unique and capable of doing extraordinary things. Her philosophy is to unify the mind, body and soul through continuous education and spiritual integration with one’s self.
Hope to see you at the meeting!
