Wells Fargo’s Andrew M. Bertamini to be Recognized with a Joe Manns Black Wall Street Award at Bmorenews’ 14th

Andy Bertamini, a native of Anne Arundel County, serves as Regional President of Wells Fargo Bank for the Greater Chesapeake Region. Wells Fargo is a nationwide, diversified, community-based financial services company with $1.5 trillion in assets. Wells Fargo began business in Baltimore back in 1914 handling express contracts on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad.  In the Greater Chesapeake Region, Wells Fargo operates 132 retail banking stores that provide consumer and business banking services including mortgage loans, investment products and insurance services. The bank is also extensively invested in local schools and communities through corporate and foundation giving, and through its team member community support programs.

Beginning his career as a teller over 40 years ago with Union Trust Bank (now Wells Fargo), Bertamini has a long history in banking, holding many positions through his career. In his current role as Regional President, his primary focus is to oversee the operations of the Greater Chesapeake market in Maryland and Coastal Virginia and to serve as the company’s community ambassador.

Bertamini’s civic involvements are numerous.   Andy was the 2014 Campaign Chair for the United Way of Central Maryland. In 2013, he served as Gala Chair for both the US Dream Academy and the Journey Home. In addition he served as a panel member for Network 2000’s “Building the Pipeline to the C-Suite and the Boardroom”. He is currently serving as a Board Member of the following organizations.
