Who is China?

China Wilson has long been recognized for her commitment to excellence, leadership, academic achievement and community service. Born in Newark, New Jersey and later moving to the Washington Metropolitan Area, China was indelibly marked by the blue collar work ethic of her surroundings. Her platform to success started with education. Her desire to excel in academia led her to a rewarding career in the military, where she served five years in the United States Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician.

After proudly serving her country, China attended Strayer University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. In her continued pursuit of education, China earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law. While in law school, she was a member of the Black Law Student Association (BLSA). She is currently a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.

China’s heart for community service has led her to volunteer for a number of local and national charitable and community service initiatives; to include, the United Way Campaigns, the Homeless Persons Representation Project, the Hispanic National Bar Association and the National Capital Area Food Bank.

Currently, China Wilson serves as a Risk Assessment Analyst and Energy Advisor at Pepco Holdings, An Exelon Company, headquartered in Washington, DC.

China Wilson’s story of accomplishment is short of remarkable. However, she has conceded that her greatest accomplishment has been raising her two sons and instilling in both of them the value of education, the responsibility of community service and the importance of a firm work ethic.
