I pray that black people stop supporting foolishness and start supporting black businesses with our trillion dollars in annual disposable income like back in the days of Black Wall Street TULSA, home to over 600 black businesses before it was bombed and burned to the ground by a mob of angry whites from May 31 to June 1, 1921.
(BALTIMORE – July 12, 2016) – One of the most important lessons any teacher can share with students is for them to think for themselves. Right now, with the nation on the verge of civil war, white mainstream media is doing their darndest to provide the story-line for the horrific actions specifically surrounding last week’s nationally and internationally televised murders.
Generally speaking, the white mainstream media is racist in their approach. I’m really not sure if they can help themselves. And, that is pathetic. Entitlement and privilege have cause many to think it is okay to not just discriminate, but to shoot down black boys and men like we are some type of wild animal.
This shit is sickening and anybody who cannot see it clearly has a serious problem.
Nonetheless, a lot of people – white and black, alike – end up believing what they see and hear said on mainstream television news broadcasts and what they read in the daily press.
I say, think for yourself!
Yes! Our hearts pour out to all of the families of the people who died last week: Every single victim and equally so. You see, white America has been at war with black America from the very beginning. Why? Nobody wants a damn chain around their neck. Just the very thought of it evokes revolutionary spirits. So, overtly and covertly, this is an historical battle between black men and white men. Admittedly, one of my favorites is Frederick Douglass vs. “Nigger breaker” Covey on the Eastern Shore of Maryland whereby Douglass dominated the fight.
After American Slavery ended with the Civil War, one would think that people would have been trying to bring about some civility in this country. Not so! These racists Southerners, bitter from defeat, just could not let go and adjust their wicked ways to begin to treat black people like human beings. Not these idiots.
Southern politicians then began to develop the next phase of ill-intended assaults on black life in the United States. They enacted the “Black Codes.” According to Wikipedia, “In the United States, the Black Codes were laws passed by Southern states in 1865 and 1866, after the Civil War. These laws had the intent and the effect of restricting African Americans’ freedom, and of compelling them to work in a labor economy based on low wages or debt.”
Truth be told, the consistent issue is white fear of black people. It’s very simple and a by-product of American slavery.
Same game, different name: That’s all it was. And if you fast forward to 2016, the past 30 years alone has seen a prison population (44% of which is black and male) go from 300,000 inmates to 2.3 million. This makes the United States, home to only 5% of the world’s population, the most incarcerating nation on earth which serves as home to 25% of the world’s inmates.
Something is fundamentally wrong, and as long as men of supposed stature and character continue to cower and ignore the reality of these racists laws and institutions, America may be about to collapse.
Did you know that the US race war is the topic of discussion at the United Nations these days?
Reuters reported this four days ago: “There is a high level of structural and institutional racism in the US, Ricardo A. Sunga III, chair of the UN expert panel on people of African descent, said, commenting on the back-to-back killing of two black men by the American police. ‘The Working Group [of Experts on People of African Descent] is outraged and strongly condemns the new police killings of two African-American men,’ Sunga said in a statement published on the United Nations’ official website.”
Please understand, although the racists in America attempt to mask and hide their dirty deeds, the rest of the world knows what America is really about. Further, this nation ought be the last one to talk about human rights abuses in any country. Charity starts at home.
We, as a nation, can say nothing or even question how China treats its citizens when the government repeatedly allows racist white male cops to repeatedly shoot black males in the streets of America.
It is no more than 19th century thinking at best. I have said it before and I will say it again: America is a racism addict and until it comes clean, it will never heal. Meanwhile, black people need to protest with the almighty dollar and stop spending. Cancel Christmas, ‘cause it’s on and poppin’.
We, as a black people in North America, must make the United States as a whole miss our dollars. That is how it is done. And along the way, put those same dollars into black businesses, the one most likely to higher our people including those with records.
