Who is Abdoulaye Biteye?

Abdoulaye Biteye is an identical twin from Dakar, Senegal in Afrika. He is a third generation tradition Afrikan Master Jeweler, and has worked for world renowned firms, such as Tiffany’s Jeweler. He and his brother started Twin Brothers Design in New Orleans April 1st, 2000. They then opened Twin Brothers Gallery in Atlanta and moved his family following hurricane Katrina. Twin Brothers Gallery is a small, but very intriguing Afrikan cultural store store located at the intersection of Hammond Drive and Roswell Road in Sandy Springs (at the whole Foods Shopping Center – Opposite Burger King). They opened their doors to the public in 2003 and have gained a reputation for our quality art, jewelry supply, excellent jewelry repair service and unrivalled customer service.

Abdoulaye is an avid member of the Senegalese association SENCAD and Dahira Mouride. He is a strong family man, married for nine years with four boys and one girl. Abdoulaye has managed to establish strong ties with not only the Afrikan community from the continent, but all Afrikans born in the U.S. and the Caribbean as well. He believes we are all one people and that only through unity can we hope to achieve the greatest success in our individual lives.abdou2

Twin Brothers Gallery has a variety of art from east, west, central and southern Africa which includes unique antique pieces (in their original form) of ceremonial value. We stock beadwork, paintings, figurines, masks and sculptures in a variety of media including beads, wood, pure soapstone, metal, mudcloth and bark. For new homeowners, they offer larger sculptures and pieces, mostly of historical value, including masks, gourds, mud clothes and framed art. Their jewelry section provides both costume jewelry and fine jewelry.

As an added advantage, master-jeweler Abdoulaye is on hand to take any commissioned orders (wedding and engagement rings included) or repair or resize your jewelry while you wait. Watch battery replacement is also done by our Abdoulaye. And if you need your precious gold jewelry recycled into something different, Twin Brothers can do that for you too! For aromatherapy and skin care, Twin Brothers Gallery stocks fragrance oils and oil types (orders may be placed for specific requests), incenses (orders may be placed for specific requests), African black soaps and organic shea butter (100% pure). Looking for that special gift for that special person? Abdoulaye of Twin Brothers Gallery is glad to help!
