Scholarship Awards
Application Deadline is Monday, February 1, 2016
Each year the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc.-Pennsylvania Chapter (NC100BW-PA), awards three scholarships to African American women in the NC100BW-PA service area. We invite all to apply. Instructions for successful application submission and the scholarship application are attached.
Eligibility
African American female meeting one of the award categories listed below.
Applicants can only apply under a single category (multiple submissions will result in disqualification)
Applicants must provide proof of application to or enrollment in a post-secondary educational institution
Categories
(One scholarship will be awarded in each of the categories listed below.)
College Bound Senior – minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA
Current College Student (returning fall of 2016) – minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
Continuing Education Adult (non-matriculated, degree or certificate program)
Application Requirements
Completed Application Form
Typed 400 – 500 word essay (see application for topics)
Typed Personal Statement (no more than 750 words)
Two (2) Unopened Letters of Recommendation (non-related)(signature should seal the back of envelope)
One (1) Unopened Official Grade Transcript or most current grade report (with printed cumulative GPA)
Proof of application to, or enrollment in a post-secondary educational institution. Complete packet MUST be postmarked by Monday, February 1, 2016 and mailed to address below.
