BALTIMORE MAN’S LOVE BRINGS HOPE TO HIS COMMUNITY: The Gregory Branch Story

(BALTIMORE – JULY 2, 2018) – Some people are lucky if they find just one great love in their life, but for Baltimore native and former Minnesota Twins player, Gregory Branch, he was blessed enough to find two – baseball and his first love and wife, Dale Talley. And it’s this incredible love story that’s the focus of the newest documentary to premier at The Reginald Lewis Museum in Baltimore this Sunday July 8th at 2pm, called “Bases of Love”.

Created by producer and director Rich Fraser, also known by the moniker “FraserFraze”, the film is based on the true story of Branch’s dilemma in juggling his two greatest passions and how his unbreakable bond with his wife ultimately inspires the love he continues to give back to his community – even beyond death.

“Greg’s story was too unbelievable not to tell,” says Fraser who was instantly captivated by not only Branch’s amazing life, but also by how much the proud Dunbar alumni, gives back to his hometown and the people of Baltimore. “With his talent and career, Greg could have easily left. Instead, he stayed and continues to try to help and inspire his community through his wife’s incredible foundation” — most notably with his “Legends” games, contributions to the poor and sizable yearly donations to the city.

Fraser hopes that the film helps to change the often-negative narrative of Charm City into one of possibility and hope. “I want people to see how the love from one man has positively impacted the lives of so many people in the city. It’s time that people see the good that can come out of Baltimore.”
